Why does the FBS/Div 1 have such trouble and have to have a big formal committee and everything? I understand it's bigger money, bigger stakes, but seems like a process is a process and we could just copy what the others have been doing....

Things are just getting obvious and sloppier. I still don't see the need for 12 teams when 8 is clearly decisive enough. The last 4 in better flip the books and make the money truly work for them instead of being used as a gridiron sacrificial cash cow.

Agreed. I thought 4 was usually enough. I don't recall a year where I was thinking that the #12 team in the country was the undisputed best team.
