No, I never understood conference Loyalty, I don’t care if everyone else in the ACC sucks as long as we get in the playoffs or make a tournament. Conference banners only carried by fans of teams that suck anyway. Every South Carolina fan I know talks about conference all the time

Let’s be honest, if your team is in a good or great conference it’s understandable to promote it. At the same time , the impact on individual universities is minimal. The ACC is good in basketball but has had very little impact on Clemson hoops . Personao,I support CLEMSON, especially Tiger Football. I like to see the ACC do well because of our affiliation. It ends there. No other loyalty anywhefe

Of course you should care about conference schools just like you would care about the company your children keep. I guess you don't have children.

People may not care, but it is important for various reasons. The better the ACC is the more money we bring in, the stronger our SOS is and the better games we get to watch. There are lot more reasons, but that is just the start. I do pull for ACC teams, but not like SC fans do. We don't have to live vicariously through our conference teams like they do.

If another ACC team's performance helps our standing in any way, yes. But, the other teams in the ACC have been so pathetic that they rarely help us in any way.

I would think that most Clemson fans would want other ACC teams to do well since it impacts the perception (and reality) of the strength of the conference. ACC teams winning games against teams from other conferences is a positive for our conference in terms of national prominence in my opinion...

I cared more when we were an 8 team and then a 9 team league that shared a true regional affiliation. Once the ACC expanded to a loose collection of teams with no history stretching all the way from Syracuse, NY (#### Yankees) to the southern tip of Florida (#### foreigners) I cared not one lick about the conference. Most of the Power 5 are this way now. Makes no sense to call teams spread so far apart by distance a “conference”.

I think it's better for all of us (Clemson, FSU, Tech, etc) if the ACC is strong on the field and strong in terms of fan interest and revenue generation.
It helps the member schools when the overall conference is in good shape. So, it's not so much about "loyalties" as it is about living in a nice, economically-thriving neighborhood.
I worry that our TV contract with ESPN has locked us into a situation where we're a big loser compared to other conferences. This hurts our competitiveness.
I worry that when I turn on the TV to watch an ACC game, it's usually only about half full stadiums, or even worse. Fewer eyeballs in the stands probably means fewer people in general are interested. Outside of Clemson, VT, and NC State, I see mostly half empty stadiums when I watch an ACC game.
It would help if FSU, Miami, VT, and GT would step up a little and try to compete. This would give the conference more balance and raise fan interest overall. Tech has made a horrible hire with Geoff Collins. 2022 will likely be his last year, and then I hope the next guy can pick up the pieces of a shredded program.
Anyway, I don't consider myself an ACC "loyalist". But I want the ACC to do better than it's been doing.

Living in South Ga. and surrounded by sec marks, mostly UGA with some AL, KY and TN FL folks. They all are about the sec until I ask the GA fan when they lost their conference championship to AL- so it’s a good win for the sec. Same scenario with the other ones when there team gets beat by another sec team it’s not a good win for the conference. Sec is a talking point until their team is beat by another sec team. Bunch of crap. Who ever Clemson plays is the enemy. Was raised in Conway and had to put up gamecocks now in GA and have to suffer that bunch of mouth smacking. Clemson!

I like the ACC even less since they expanded to 14. Much better at 9 members and would have been content adding Miami and VT and calling it a day.
