Miami vs Virginia tech tonight

Oct 23, 2014, 7:23 PM

A game of what could be. This game was to decide the coastal division when the acc brought them in. Golden and Beamer need to get out. If they were as good as they're suppose to be, the country would view the acc differently.

Agreed. The ACC needs a strong Coastal division too.

VT is just dormant but they still have the ingredients to field an elite program. Beamer is pulling a Bowden/Paterno and hanging around too long. If he still wants to coach, he has reached an age where he is eligible to apply at Scar under their LBM (Legends Become Mediocre) head coach retirement program.

Miami is in a tougher situation. An on-campus stadium would help. I don't see how they ever get back to national prominence playing in Ft. Lauderdale in front of dozens of fans.

which will make it that much more interesting.

I agree, it's past time for teams like VT and Miami to get their acts together and carry some weight for the ACC.

VT just needs to have Beamer move on and find the right coach to replace him.

Unfortunately for Miami I just don't see it ever happening for them again. Horrible facilities, a horrible fan base and a forever tainted reputation leads me to feel they are the new SMU of CFB.
