Easy, peasy. Start giving schollies with a signed contract that binds player to 4 year contract or if he leaves early, he has to pay for the entire 4 yr. Scholly. Kinda like a buy out clause in coaching contracts. This NIL crap will never be solved until players have to sign a binding contract to play for the school for x number of years. Once it becomes a contract, it becomes difficult to sue the school and win.

Regardless, if it will help fix what's going on with all the cheating and stealing players that a lot of time and gobs of money is spent recruiting these players, there has to be a way to hold them accountable for just leaving over a better offer, P E R I O D!!!!

I am not sure that I would be that harsh. How about for every year early you transfer, you owe for a year of the education that you have already received ?
I think this debacle is moving toward (in some fashion) classifying the athletes as university employees - so that contracts can be forged and money can be regulated. You could still have some kind of semi-stable contract without seeking to be too punitive if a kid wanted to go somewhere else.
