Andrew Makuba ---

Seems to have that Leomont Evans...Robert O'Neal...Antuan Edwards kind of vibe and potential on the field.

He will take Zanders place. He will not take Turner's place. You guys evidently do not understand what an all around super safety Nolan Turner is and has been.

Venables said on the other side. Meaning the opposite side he started on which means he would have started in place of Zanders. If Turner is healthy he will start every game. Mark it down.

Turner and Mukaba line up at free safety, as they are assigned to the QB in man coverage, or "free" to drop into coverage. Zanders is a strong safety, they have different responsibilities and line up on "the side" that the formation of the offense dictates, Generally the strong safety lines up is opposite of the tight end, or on the strong side.
they are entirely different positions, rarely are they interchangeable unless you have an elite athlete like Isiah Simmons who lined up just about everywhere. ANyway, Turner is not Simmons.
HTH.

Turner will start every game he is healthy. If Turner had been healthy for the Georgia game and Zanders had been healthy for the Georgia game Makuba would have started for Zanders not Turner. Clemson safeties cross train both spots. Go back look at depth charts.

So you think we should be lining Turner up against a Running Back and putting him in more of a run support role?

When Turner and Makuba are on the field at the same time, Makuba will be ss and Turner free. Turner may be out for several weeks.

Makuba is a natural strong safety and that is what he will be playing. That is what he has been playing. Philips and Charleston are free safeties. Where do you get Makuba is a free safety? Makuba is a hitter a striker and a good one That is his position.

Clemson recruited him as a strong safety. and plays him at strong safety. I guess they forgot to ask his high school coach where they should play him.

You stated that he was a natural SS, when in fact he is a natural FS playing SS. All of your other comments are irrelevant and do not apply to my original response.

Mukuba was better than Turner the second he stepped on campus. There's a reason UGA wasn't able to hit downfield passes.

Georgia could not throw down field same reason Clemson could not throw down field, 900lbs in their face.

As you mature in life, if you ever do, you will eventually learn that you do not need to put down one person in order to praise and promote another person, dude. Turner is an excellent free safety and Makuba appears he will become an excellent strong safety. No need to disparage a guy that has helped give us a national championship and five conference titles and six years of his life. As I said before grow up.

Turner is a complete liability, slow, can't cover, can't tackle. He wouldn't start anywhere else. Makuba was the best safety at Clemson the minute he committed, and we all saw this last Saturday.

Turner is a three year starter, All Conference and All American voted by the team as permanent Team Captain. Hope we can recruit a few more liabilities. Leads the team in interceptions.

Turner runs 4.5 forty and is in top 3 safeties in shuttle time. That is according to Coach Venables. If you do not believe it, take it up with coach Venables.
