Another Coaching Legend in the State of SC

I had never read much about Coach Pough until I flipped through the paper version of the newspaper this evening. Found this article interesting. May be old news to those who live in the state, but mostly news to me.

Buddy Pough is a legend in South Carolina. He should be a legend everywhere.
The South Carolina State football coach, who led his team to an HBCU title in 2021, has a giant heart and is beloved in the state.

That was a great read! Made me laugh with the stories about the bear and the one about Holtz getting his name wrong. Good lord, that was good writing to boot.

and heritage of State. Their list of NFL players is astounding. Jeffries, Buddy, and people forget Bill Davis, who had some great teams there. Will never forget them coming to a heavily favored Furman in the 1-AA playoffs and dominating under him.
