I think there will be several weapons starting with a strong run game. Ship and Mafah will win enough 1 on 1 match ups with an evenly loaded box that the D will have to load the box. At that time, I think it’ll be pick your poison between WRs and TEs. G. Riley did a good job using his TE back at SMU. I could see Briningstool being a match up nightmare as the season progresses.

One of the biggest things missing from our offense the last couple of seasons is a slot receiver that can catch a 3rd down pass to move the chains. Definitely helps if your QB can actually complete slant pass on a regular basis, but we need a Renfrow type player to step up.

Riley’s offense tends to also use the slot as a runner through sweeps. I think that will be a natural role for AW0.

the WRs are going to have to create separation, block and seal the edge, run good routes, really go-up and fight for those 50/50 balls and, for the love of God, catch the friggin' ball.

That’s what I’m banking on! I think we will see a revival of that position group. A healthy Beaux, growing AW0, and emerging presence of both Turner/Randall.

I have rethought my post. And, I have come to what should have been an obvious conclusion. If we excel on offense this year, the x factor will undoubtedly be Garrett Riley. Duh
