Anybody that claims not to be disappointed

Jan 13, 2016, 2:59 PM

that most if not all of our secondary is moving on, well, that's just dishonest. We should be disappointed, we are fans and we want what's best for our team. Now, am I angry and wish them bad wishes, heck no! I want them all to go and burn up the NFL and come back as successful Clemson men! But yes, I am disappointed but my disappointment is definitely superseded by my happiness for them, their families and their future!

exactly..depth was one of the reasons..

we faltered in the fourth..losing starters doesnt help our depth in that department

I would think 1 loss could do it but...

The loss would have to be to FSU or auburn. If we lose to FSU, we don't make that ACC tournament and Kevin Steele can't defend against the spread offense.

nothing wrong with being so, but no doubt some don't handle it as well as others might like?

I wish they were all coming back

But I am neither surprised nor disappointed that they are not. We recruit players knowing that this possibility exists.

Gives us a chance to develop another player and give out another scholarship to a prospect. Yes, I would bring them all back (selfishly) if I were deciding for them, but disappointed? Not in the slightest. I was disappointed that the suspended players made poor decisions and hurt the team. I was disappointed that injuries prevented Williams and Alexander from helping the team. But I am not disappointed that these young men are making what they believe to be the best decisions for their futures.

Next man up! Go Tigers!

I'm not diappointed

I'm not disappointed because I was prepared for it. Unless you were living under a rock you had to know that Mac and Kearse were gone. T.J Green was a bit of a surprise.

We get Korin Wiggins back from his injury/redshirt next year, he was our star-safety starter, not a back up either. Hopefully Tank will stay too, that in itself will be HUGE because that gives us a lock-down CB for next year.

I'm not saying there won't be a drop off, but guys like Fields, Carter, etc....can play. Our DL is crazy talented and deep, which will help with pass coverage (Wilkins, Watkins, Pagano, Huggins, J. Robinson, not to mention that Dexter Lawrence will break the 2-deep not to mention Niles Pinkney....we may also sign Rashawn Gary....scary). DE's will be new, but they are talented and Dan Brooks is the best DL coach in the country. We'll be fine.

We've recruited and evaluated well, no matter what we'll have a top 25 defense and most likely a top 10 defense (again).
