Apparently, this Colorado portal commit had a gun and marijuana in the background of his commitment to Colorado. Dad took the blame and said it was his, just a crazy story though.

CO is in the sweet spot where the libs have legalized weed, but are yet to confiscate guns.
Nothing to see here, they my Dads. lol
This is why some kids just aren’t coming to Clemson. And it’s ok.
My son went to college in CO back when they first legalized. His comment to me was, Dad we don’t go to stores to get weed. Basically, any kid that could NOT buy weed if desired should turn in their ID. But legalization increased demand and he might not have gotten in by the time he graduated. He is a commercial pilot and hasn’t smoked it in many years.
My point is that these left coast kids have grown up way differently than those in the Bible Belt. Culturally, they will not fit in Dabo’s vision, no matter how many DJUs or B Collins we bring in. I don’t think we ever turn them down, but don’t be surprised when they jump ship either.
