Does it make me less American to own...

....vehicles that aren't necessarily from American owned companies?
I own a Nissan Maxima, a Nissan Rogue midnight, and a Hyundai Sant Cruz night edition. I just bought the Rogue and Cruz within the past 6 months.
All three were manufactured in America. However, the companies obviously originate from overseas.
Am I a bad American? Tell me if I am a communist.

First Nissan truck made 160k and traded because needs changed, second made 220k after handing it down to Joonyer. The vehicle I'm most likely going to get next is the Nissan Armada. But, I'll be sure and pass along bengaline's sentiments to whoever I buy from.

in Japan. So i can’t really criticize
I had a rogue for 7 years and enjoyed it. Got 170,000 miles on it and sold it at the peak of the used car craze for a nice price.

We just bought the 2023 Nissan Rogue midnight SV. Pretty sweet SUV. Has pretty much every option we need.

If you believe in a free market economy ( not capitalism) you might be said to have done us a favor. The competition element of a free market has promoted improvements in automotive design and manufacturing. If folks didn't buy foreign made vehicles, our domestic manufacturers would still be selling crap autos that are worthless by 85,000 miles. Stating this I have, for the first time ever, no autos from domestic companies and I do feel a little guilty at times.

one of my Aunts said that my Grandfather would roll in his grave. I said it was built in Kentucky, and my tone did a good job of suggesting that was the end of the conversation. Her last car was a #### Honda. My dad had some sort of snide remark as well, be it more joking. Then I reminded him of the BMW (his girlfriend's) in the yard. I also remined him that his father spent more time close to Germany than Japan.
Long story short, our old people had a way of using Pearle Harbor to justify being racist or at least prejudice.

Soichiro Honda ran a company that made engines for Japanese naval ships and airplane engines. Nissan made airplanes.
I disagreed with his stance, but he had a case in every instance.
