Lincoln Riley benefited from a loaded team that Bob Stoops left him and couldn't close the deal. He left for the real USC thinking he can buy the best players with all of the west coast money and has defenses my grandmother could beat and she's dead. He also left Oklahoma with bare cupboards.He just got punked by a Notre Dame team that got blasted by a ND team that just a week earlier got flayed by a Louisville team that was hammed by a 1-4 Pitt team....

Is Garret any better? His TCU offense was absolutely roasted by a UGA team, while talented, should have been that big of a scoring spread in a natty game. His "dirt raid" offense isn't impressing me at all.

Are these brothers "fools gold"?

Agreed. Scratching my head here. The Riley’s have had success everywhere they’ve been. Expecting a miracle in an offense that had been stagnating since the 44-16 beat down of Bama is a bit short sided. We’ve also missed on some high caliber recruits. Development hasn’t been happening. However, we see development now. The receiving corps is looking better. The QB play has been getting better. The o line has stagnated and has always been a sore spot. Was hoping Austin would make a difference.

Lincoln Riley only averages 11 wins a season. It’s not elite but it’s knocking on the door.

this same thought went through my head as i was watching the trojans get smashed by ND, however i do think both are very good offensive minds particularly QB coaches. I do think its fair to question both of them a little bit though people always want to see that cherry on top for validation.
