your dolphin analogy doesn't hold water in the way that I'm interpreting your point.

You have a valid point in that, perhaps there's alternate solar systems where the building blocks of life aren't carbon, and are maybe nitrogen, or something similar in the periodic table of elements. Perhaps there's an entirely different table (doubtful)...BUT...to get back on track....dolphins look different than humans because they live in an entirely different ecosystem. Could there be sea creature aliens with advanced intelligence? Sure.

To broadly assume that us to next 10% up would be comparable to us and dolphins doesn't hold water.

Also, we can make assumptions of what intelligent life would look like within the realms of physics / dimensions that we can interpret. Clearly, from a physical perspective, intelligent life would need to be able to use tools, see, and have a very high degree of intellectual capabilities. On top of the obvious things like being able to consume calories / energy, being able to breathe / sustain life, etc.

All of those could look much different (i.e. Alien movies).

I think the odds of intelligent life looking like humans is the same as the odds of life on earth looking like humans, which is slim (# of living humans / # of living animals on Earth). There's definitely > 0 humanoid type intelligent life out there somewhere, and there's definitely > 0 non humanoid type intelligent life out there.

By definition, the universe is infinite, so all probabilities are slim, but at the same time, high in actual values.

From the aliens is the answer. There are structures built from stone that was cut at perfect 90 degree angles, talking about 20 ton rocks. This could have only been done w lasers and some type of levitation device to move them.

What about the Nazca lines? They were clearly making them for someone who could fly and humans weren’t flying back then.
