definitely missing that running back with explosive speed. I like Mafah’s style for his role but Shipley just seems to be regressing. Miami’s backs just hit the hole and get at least 3-4 yards. I understand our OL stinks and get whipped most games but I see at lot of dancing and running straight up without that forward lean. Our backs are running as if they are CJ Spiller without his speed and quickness.
Again, just one of several issues.

Saw a stat earlier today where we are averaging 30.4 pts. per game. That stat is greatly bloated by having played Chas. Southern and FAU. Drop them out of the mix, and we are averaging 19.8 a game against the ACC.

To put that in perspective, Pitt is averaging 25.0 ppg against ACC competition. And they're 2-5.

Yes. WR and RB aren't elite.
Even WAYYYYY bigger issue is the OL. We clearly don't have 10-11 we can count on......
Over many years, a group that should be elite @ a program like CLEM isn't....
All our competitors carry larger room sizes. So we got it right with 15 and they (BAMA, UGA, OSU) have it wrong? We all know that answer.....
Room needs to be bigger to acct for missed evals, injuries, transfers, etc.....
OL is hardest position to recruit for b/c its hard to eval. Yet, we handicap ourselves with numbers....
As mentioned many times, Roster Management is lacking.....
I would look and see what Saban and Kirby are doing.....

The whole OL was getting pushed around, but Right Guard especially Mayes and Right tackle ( BM) we’re getting beat all night ! As far as Shipley he stayed on his OL ‘s hip way too long. Holes are open right or left most of the time when the OL does get a push but instead of cutting out to the open field he stays on the OL’s hip. He vision is terrible!

I don't agree. Sometimes there is a defender in position to fill the hole, even if he is not directly in the hole.
