I am glad both will be finished for the year next week. They both have a way to wear on you mentally and physically. I am more than a little exhausted…. But can’t wait until next season for both!

Clover, for years my passions have been work, football and work.

Once the bowl games are over, then it's work, work, work. Thus, I'm somewhat like you, am glad the games are about done and will look forward to next season.

I guess it is true for both of us. Back to work when schools start back.

think that about two days of retirement was enough; hence, I went back to work.

Now, rapidly approaching 77, I have no desire to revisit that retirement option, eagerly awaiting each day's forays back in the business world. My own son used to accuse me of being too hyperactive when it came to work, simply because I relished the daily challenges, thereby putting work before hobbies like football, The rest of my family (of whom I'm the oldest) thinks I'm nuts! LOL.

That's why when football is over for a season, it's over.

I agree with them…you are nuts…but if it makes you happy and you are able to be there for the family I say more power to you!

This (high school) class of ‘71er would highly beg to differ, but I will acknowledge that to each his own. However, I was extremely fortunate imho to be able to retire at the end of 2016, and have immensely enjoyed it with zero regrets or complaints. Well, except for wondering how I was ever able to accomplish all the things - projects, hobbies, yard work, kid’s activities, etc. - that I did on nights and weekends. Not to mention I ‘gave up’ one weekend a month as a member of the Georgia National Guard from 1985 - 2013.

But hey, I do appreciate you guys continuing to pay into social security! 😉

GO TIGERS!!!

I’m ready to put this one behind me, but I look so forward to next season and a new start to a new year, and I have zero doubt that Clemson will be much improved in the next couple of years . I see so much positive results in our future. Nothing like the agony of defeat, and we got a real taste of fat this year, to make the thrill of victory to be a burning passion for the future. I can hardly wait for next season to get here to right the ship. This too shall pass!!! Go Tigers!!! MayGod Bless us all!

I'm establishing new deer signs off season. The ones I have have been there for years and they say you should move them around. Using corn and trail cameras to verify deer activity. Gives me something to do until Spring fishing.
