I have noticed that every time we start the slowdown stuff, we don't look as good. We are not a team that is designed to run clock, IMO. We need to keep the pedal to the metal all game, and let the score be what it will. It should not be our job to stop ourselves. It should be the opponent's job to stop us. Now it does wear down our defense, but we will just have to get more depth there. I believe the team that scores the most points wins.

Agreed, unless we were trying to match a play to a specific defensive set. If that were it, it didn't work out too well in the second half.

I attend the home games every year and usually a game or two away, as well, and there have been many times in several games where we hurry up to the line, then back away, look to the sideline and then run the plays, vs. just running the next play, and so on. Have you been to any games this year? There are probably good reasons, i.e. defensive alignments, etc., but it appears that we sometimes do it just to run more clock, when we could be scoring more points. When we do that, it seems to get us out of our rhythm. I am no coach, however.

The gameplan going in was good......but they did a poor job of adjusting to the coots adjustments....IMO

The gameplan was horrible. We went away from what had been working all year. I know we did alright in the first half but even then I was worried because we looked nothing like the team that played the other 11 games. Go back to your base offense and build in a few plays to take advantage of their defense. Don't change everything you do well based on the opponent. Our coaches have said every week that its not about the other team but apparently we didn't believe that against Scar.

The gameplan changed when the defense couldn't get off the field.

Don't abandon the run

when it's working.
The QB draw every other play is not how you compensate for intense pass rushing pressure.
What happened to all the quick screens and sweeps.
And, for God's sake, if a guy is devouring your offensive lineman, put a TE or FB in to help block.
