Attitude is always wrong in big games...

Mar 20, 2021, 12:06 AM

I’ve had some drinks but wanted to see if others noticed that our team’s attitude seems to be way off for every big game. Off the cuff examples: 1)Simms started hanging his head with 7 minutes to go. The team feeds off his energy and I don’t understand why he doesn’t try to hype them up at the end of games. 2)We play like we’ve already lost every time things don’t go our way. We let things happen to us rather than take control of the situation. 3)Trapp is so good but it’s like someone convinced him he can’t be a hero. 4)It’s like they’re all searching for their true role on the team every time they play. 5)They just seem to stress out in big moments and it’s painful to watch. Why oh why do they not believe in themselves? They are so tight when things get close it’s like I’m watching myself try to drain a 5 foot putt to win a 1 dollar skin.
All I’m saying is I love Clemson basketball, love the guys on every team of every year and cheer them on from my garage almost every game. But they need a hype man or a sports psychologist to get past the hump and stop losing painful games like this one tonight. They just don’t seem to believe and it pisses me off. Brownell can stay, as long as he hires me to fix the mojo and I’ll sign on for just $250,000 and a bass boat. Go tigers!
