Acropolis was still around in the mid-2000s

It was the place between the Fast Point conveninence store across from Riggs and Subway/TDs (last I checked it was some kind of sports bar...Griffin's mabye?). Chanelos closed before my time (not sure where it was), but I've heard many stories of greatness from older almuni.

The Acropolis was located between the conveninence store and TD's.
Chanelos was on College Avenue just above Tiger Town Tavern. You could walk next door to get a pizza and bring it back to TTT to eat it and everyone suddenly became your friend.

And would sneak down the hall to his buddies room. They would come to deliver and no one would answer and they'd start to leave.... he'd rush up to the delivery guy and offer to buy it at half price.....

OK - was a few years earlier - but the Book Store and the Library were places I could tell the parents I went to. At least TTT and Nicks are still there. When I graduated in 1981 - my bro's and I tried to do the Clemson drinking challenge - which was rent a limo and have one drink in every place that served alcohol. I think at that time it was 22. And NO - we did not make it - but we gave it the best try we could. Good times.
