You are correct! He's been doing it all year and killing himself. The whole team needs to learn how and when to play small ball. Too much bat waving and high-stepping.

From Monte Lee's interview, it sounds like he recognizes the problem. He took responsibility and said that somehow he needs to teach the players how to play aggressive baseball with runners in scoring position. And.... he realizes that infield errors are hurting us as well.

As a coach, I wouldn't worry as much about the errors - those physical errors can be overcome with practice. The mental errors at the plate would drive me nuts.
