Basketball season thoughts...

as we sit at the 1/2 way point thru conference play and 2/3's of the way thru the season, what a season it has turned out to be.
It will be interesting to see where we stand at the end of the regular season and head into ACC tourney play. It is hard to imagine we wont find ourselves in the top 4 at this point, barring a collapse. We should be favored in 7 or 8 of our last 10 games and have some very winnable games. We have 3 very tough road games left at UNC, NC State, and UVA. I also think saturdays game at FSU is tricky but is a game we *should* win. I think finishing at 15-5 or 16-4 in the ACC is a realistic expectation at this point.
But, regardless what happens the rest of the way, us clemson basketball fans should enjoy this ride. We are truly in rare historical circumstances for this program.
This team is just built different. They play hard. They play together. They show no signs of selfishness and they show a GREAT ability to perservere...
...when we had a terrible loss to UofSC, we got back off the mat and played well.
...when we were down 7 with just a few mins to go at Va Tech and Pitt, we didnt flinch and found a way.
...when Hemenway went down, others stepped up.
...when Chase Hunter went down, Beadle stepped up
...when Beadle struggled, Devin Hunter stepped up.
...when PJ Hall didnt have his best night, Middlebrooks and Shiefflein stepped up.
...last night, Wiggins stepped up.
this team just continues to find ways to win games and it seems like we have 5, 6, or even 7 guys who can help us win in different ways each night. Again, enjoy the ride. Go Tigers!

coach brownell has done an excellent job at getting this team gelled and finding ways to get multiple guys to step up on given nights.

This team has a ton of resiliency and belief. It truly is different from much of what we have seen in the past. It is nice to be reminded of some of the basketball I used to watch back in the 70s when I was a student. Back then, I loved basketball as much as football and it made my overall Clemson experience that much more enjoyable.
