Sales guys... I need some suggestions.

Back in mid-June, some sales dude called me when I was on vacation in the keys. I was pretty hammered sitting around a pool, so it seemed like a good time to answer the phone from what I thought was a spam call. I don't remember much about the call except telling him I didn't really make any decisions, and that I was probably the wrong person to talk to about whatever he was selling. I was slurring my speech pretty badly because vacay in Marathon, and there was a lot of noise in the background, so I can't imagine what value he got from the first contact.

Since then, dude has called me about 6 times (I never answer). One time he called like 4x in a row and only left a very short VM the last time. Today, he randomly sent an invitation to a teams meeting. I declined the meeting and he called again after the meeting and left a VM something about "Looks like you missed the meeting, so I was just calling to see when we can reschedule."

What do I need to do to get this guy to move on? I can't figure out why after almost 2 months and only talking to me once when I was hammered, there is any reason to continue calling me.

I bought some WiFi connected outlet timers from Dave about 12 years ago so I could control the compressors on our water fountains from my computer without having to go around to each one in 14 different buildings.

Didn’t hear from Dave for awhile and then about 8 years ago he “reaches out” to let me know he has changed companies and has a product that will let me shutdown all computers and printers in our organization from my phone.

Told him, 1 computers aren’t my area of responsibility and B we are 100% laptops so not worried about shutting down computers

He comes back with well what about your printers? I say still not my area and we use programmable copiers for our printers that already have controls.

Every 4-6 months since, I get an email followed by a voice mail from Dave really wanting to talk to me about his “solution“

Dang dude, let it go.
