Why is it we win 98% of our games but are never able to leave the field with out feeling like we lost?
What I mean is winning, but having a final score margin of 3 too 6 points...
Can we not see that the competition to make the four team playoffs is very tough.
And that quality of wins, which does include margin of victory, is going to be the tie breaker when voting time comes....

THE BEST IS STANDERD!!
WE HAVE A PRO Level front seven on defense and talent everywhere...
The Playoffs is the Goal....but I feel we are not consistent enough to make the cut...Playoffs
Committee is watching every game....we must start dominating teams like FSU...

Let's look at this,as Far as the playoff is concerned:
A one lose Ohio state team gets in
A one lose Alabama gets in
A one lose George is in the picture
A one lose Michigan gets in
A one lose Tennessee in picture
We play for championship not a good season...
So we're dose that leave a undefeated Clemson team that has a average winning point margin of
5 points for the year??

In the CFP’s ! Michigan or OSU I believe will drop at least 2 games and I feel the same about Bama and possibly UGA. If you look at their schedules none of the above except for Bama losing to Tenn have played an outstanding schedule to date (week 7). Most teams on their schedule have not even been ranked.
We have played several ranked teams or teams who have been in and out of the rankings. If we finish with the ACC crown undefeated, we will be in the the CFP’s.

Good point. The ACC and even our division is still up in the air. Remember Syracuse and 2017. Does history repeat itself?

Take Tennessee for instance. It was 28 - 10 their lead.... and Alabama is Alabama...but its the question of how did it become so close as it did when it shouldn't have when they were doing so well.
With Clemson...when we had a good double digit lead...I myself felt calm. I saw the air go out of the FSU fans and some of their players..... especially after the fake punt didn't work. Then I saw our players relax. I was really expecting to see other players to come in and get some playing time. Then all of a sudden Jordan Travis just got a 3rd wind or something and it spreaded to his teammates and here we go....... Clemson just trying to get out of there.
NFL ....when a team is up by 10 or 17..its like being up by 1 or 3 with over 2 minutes to go and you're wondering how can they blow that kind of lead.
Its a natural reaction when winning big but it can bite you in the butt when the game is not over and the opponent acts like they drank a whole case of NOS trying to make a vigorous and historical comeback....and we're looking for the next basket of yeast rolls.

OP, we've beaten topic like a dead horse over the last 7 years. Dabo is not a Style points coach nor is he a run up the score kinda guy. He will never change this fact until the "win and we're in" bites Clemson. It could happen this year except we won't know that until the Real poll comes out next month.

I believe it’s because Dabo plays more guys than any other HC. The subs are bound to give up some points. IMO this year there are several quality teams in The ACC. Many ACC teams could beat teams on OSU’s or some of the SEC teams. If the HC’s in place stay I can see the ACC earning more respect. The only reasons I can see the ACC decline is the billion dollar TV contracts coming to a conference we all know within the next year or two. Or the forming of a Super Conference which I feel we would become a part off. FSU is a much better team than it has been in several years.
Also, Dabo is not one to run up the score. See if you can find Dabo’s comments made after many fans including myself felt they way you feel after the 2017 or 2018 game in DV against SC. It was Jake Bentley’s last game as SC’s starting QB. It’s seems every pass he threw was caught. Many were long passes.
A win is a win! A loss is a loss! We are 7-0. We have played so really good teams this year including Furman.
