Being totally honest, Deshaun and Trevor spoiled us.

I could be the OC with those guys and we still win. With lesser talent we are average at best on offense.

More importantly, Deshaun and Trevor covered up a lot of coaching deficiencies.

It shouldn’t take generational talent at QB for us to be elite. But it looks like that’s the case.

Hate to break it to yah, but we are currently average at best on offense with the talent we have now.

That's what Judge is saying - we are mediocre at QB, thus we are mediocre on offense.

Our problems stem further than just QB. Sorry, I can't read though.

DW and TL also had better WRs. Mike Williams, Leggett, Ross, Martin, Higgins, Renfro, etc.
Who is our best most consistent receiver right now?
Ngata is a bust IMO. All the talent in the world but never materialized.

Not sure if you're responding to me or the OP. But we haven't had a consistent dominant receiver(s) in years and that's been a glaring red flag for this offense even during Trevor's final year.
So to answer your question. Nobody.

I was responding to you and yes Nobody is the correct answer to our current most dominant receiver. I was just trying to make the point the problem is bigger than just the QB.

Oh no, I absolutely agree with that statement. I've been harping for years about the receiving corps, especially last year and this year. I think if we had receivers that can block consistently and had any that can become a deep threat, half of our offensive woes would be solved immediately.

First of all I am sorry for accidentally down voting your post... my thumbs are too big for this screen... secondly these guys were 4 and 5 star recruits coming out of HS... like all of our issues this goes back to poor coaching and development... it has to be hurting our future recruiting because what 5 star would want to look like our WRs do?

No worries. But I agree. This all falls back onto coaching. As much as I like Grisham as a guy and former player, he just isn't cutting it for our current players. They're not developing to fight, comeback, or even try for the ball. They rely too much on hopefully drawing PI or hoping DJ throws them the perfect ball (which they might still drop). Miss the days of Jeff Scott receivers. Those guys were feared by every DC we faced and for good reason. They attacked the ball when it was in the air and blocked their behinds off.

Honestly -- we should have put Cade in from the start!

We should have lived and died with him at least after the first quarter. We should played him the rest of the year and got him ready for 2023. DJU will not take us to a championship win unless our defense is killer! That wont happen under Wes unfortunately!

My fear is that an updraftable DJU comes back and we lose Cade due to playing time...

If he come back, I think there will probably be a real QB competition next year.
