Until just a few moments ago, I did not really care for

Usain Bolt and his preening and arrogant type antics. I saw on the news where he was being interviewed and our National Anthem started playing for one of our gold medal winners. He stopped the interview while it was playing.

I must give my props to him.

The best in the world aren't humble

Aug 8, 2012, 7:15 PM

To be the best, you have to know you're the best.

All of the athletes at the peak of their career who were destroying their peers (Michael Jordan, Michael Phelps, Usain Bolt, Tiger Woods, Barry Bonds, Kobe Bryant etc) are almost never media-friendly, humble figures. You don't get to the top of that mountain by shaking your opponent's hand and helping him get up. The best (only?) way to shut them up is to knock them off and beat them.

I do like Bolt's respect for the anthem. But I had no problem with his arrogance prior to that either. Just a character trait that comes with the territory.

I disagree.

There is a huge difference between confidence and arrogance. The most successful people in the world do not have to be arrogant, nor should they be.

Biggest endorser is PUMA which is a German company.

He was showing respect for the games and what they represent. He is a loved and is famous all over the world, it being America's national Anthem was more happenstance than anything. Shows he is respectful though, I applaud him.

Maybe you are right, but Puma sells shoes here too.***
