Regardless of what any talking head or Know It All ever says about the best ever Bama team, those were the exact words they were using weeks before our defense stuffed back at them everything they tried to run, and Trevor Lawrence and our offense scored on the best ever in the history of Bama FB team at WILL... What ever is ever said, it's just more of the very same bullchit as they were saying about that 2018/19 Bama FB team!!!!

was actually played on the field, and we totally destroyed that "best ever" Bama team. It took he and the other SEC sycophants almost three whole DAYS to come up with the "Alabama was too tired from their rugged SEC schedule" narrative. That same rugged SEC schedule that they always touted as giving any of their teams an advantage over anyone else they ever played. Up until that game.

Yaknow,this never gets old. It will never get old. It was and is too good to be true. But it was and is true. And in retrospect the fact all the talking heads had Bama down as the best ever only magnified the fact Clemson had the better team, the better QB, the better defense, the better running back, the better defense and the better coach. There was nothing fluky about the outcome. The whole world outside Clemson nation was gobsmacked. And yet our win should not have seemed unexpected for anyone who was paying attention.
I matriculated in the fall of 1968. Clemson had not been to a bowl game in almost a decade. We proceeded to post 8 losing seasons in the first 9 years of my active fan life. But since 1977, Clemson ranks 8th nationally in winning percentage. We have played in the final, title deciding game five times and won the biggest game on the biggest stage 3 times. Clemson has finished in the top ten a total of ten times since 1978.
Life as a Clemson fan has been incredibly sweet and essentially unexpected for 6 decades. Thanks to every man who ever wore the uniform and played for the Tigers, thanks to every man who ever coached Clemson, and thanks to the tens of thousands of fans who have been along for the ride every step of the way.
