This isn’t a B1G issue, it’s an individual

Issue. You can’t blame everyone affiliated with the B1G for the unethical and illegal actions of the individuals involved.

You don't see these cover ups happening in southern schools.

It illegal and unethical? I was just pointing out that most large powerful institutions do whatever they can to cover up any type of activity that will be embarrassing to the institution criminal and non-criminal .

Fake classes and 177 (known so far) athletes being sexually assaulted is a bit different. Not a few players, not a few students who's personal info would be better left private, but that many across that many sports for that long while it's known is disgusting and inexcusable and not much is comparable.. I don't care if they cover up to save face I care when their "covering up" effects the victims and doesn't allow the victims to be helped and even worse the abuser to be stopped, that's not covering up that's giving the predator a window and a pat on the back to continue.

You’re missing my point I said illegal and unethical in my earlier post. Coverups by powerful institutions isn’t geographical it occurs everywhere and the people involved are the ones doing illegal activity and the ones that should be prosecuted not lose affiliations to those institutions .

But you can blame them when it's the fact that nobody did anything for THAT long (18 years) and seriously not a single decent person walked through that program and stopped it? I blame everyone in control of that institution during those times because there's nothing more important they should have than those children's safety and well being while they're on campus under their watch. I know what you're getting at saying even 100 people doing wrong isn't the fault of the 1000. But I just think it goes way deeper and there's a lot of people to be mad at about this situation that could've stopped it.

All 3 cases have a common factor, the school officials knew at the time and did more to silence victims than stop the abuser. It is the fault of a bad system stemming from the top and not being man enough to do something about it when people lives are being effected. I didn't blame "everyone affiliated" but it is a pattern in the B1G that large scale sexual assaults of school workers are being covered up by B1G school officials.

there are another couple scandals at OH St besides this- Urb and the football coach abusing his wife, this dr now conveniently dead, and a diving coach who groomed his divers for sex. Oh the football coach just got arrested for violating a protective order. Interesting how this happened once he was fired. He did this several times while still a coach and nothing happened. All they do is cover up stuff there
