Tajh vs Logan stats

I think Clemson won because of Tajh. Va. Tech won in spite of Logan Thomas. Lot of his passes were dink and dunks.
Tajh Boyd 24-34-214-1-1 17 carries for 47 yards
Logan Thomas 21-38-230-2-0 17 carries for 39 yards

in defense of Thomas, VT has almost no weapons on offense.

There were so many times the receivers were open but the throw was two yards above their heads or out of reach to each side. If Logan Thomas had made his throws like Tajh did GT would have been blown away.

passes. Logan had at least five that could not have been caught by ANYONE on the field.

Maybe it's just me, but those numbers don't look that bad.
They're much better than:
7 -11-67-0-1 14 carries for 92 yards
here's looking at you Shaw

And a lot of Boyd's passes were dropped.

He would have had far more passing yards, and probably more attempts, if half the drops had been caught. That one pass to Bryant was perfect.
But, in reality, Andre Ellington won that game. He deserves to at LEAST share the credit with Boyd. Defensively, we have a lot of work to do. Good thing Auburn's offense does too. At times, they were gashing our defense for chunks of yards... then they would bog down.
We'll have to get a lot better on defense or a good offense will hang another 70 on us.

if you have been following clemson football since the eighties, you will remember quite a few " bend but don't break " defenses at clemson, even with the talent we had. they crossed the goal line 1 time, and i can live with that, with the offense we have.

Also his guys didn't have many opportunities to drop balls. It was either on the money or no where near. Around 50% completions is not good either. Also we didn't even need to throw the ball the way AE tore it up. I think I will keep Boyd. Logan Thomas is still a joke.

Above and beyond a better QB than Logan T. The ESPN guys were comparing Barkley and Thomas before the game with 4 categories. Pocket Mobility, Accuracy, Arm Strength, and Smarts. They gave all but Smarts to LT. They are idiots. LT is by far the most overstated and overrated QB in recent memory. Hasn't achieved a thing and is the second coming. (palm-->face)
