Horse, goat, and chicken water are frozen solid.
I replaced them 3 times throughout the night.
Fed everybody extra hay to keep them busy and warm.

I don’t remember it ever being this cold.
Plumbers are going to make a lot of emergency cash.
It. Is. Cold.

Power posted a note that it wouldn't be back on until 3pm today. I scrambled around and got dressed for shopping and headed toward Northern Tool to buy a kerosene heater. When I turned the corner home I saw the porch light.

The electricity beat me home. I left that heater in the car.

I actually had a woman come to my house a few years ago to tell me I needed to bring my horses in the house because it was going to be down to 15 degrees that night. True story.
