I think Brownell is realizing the attitude he needs to have to win and inspire his players. It sucks that his job had to be on the line for him to have this attitude. Hopefully he keeps his foot on the pedal for the rest of his career.

what to do tonight. ###### they pounded N.C. State again!!! What are we going to do??? No way he gets fired now and we get to go hire the Southern Conference coach we want to hire. Curses!!! Brownell is going to get an extension and probably have a good team again next year!!! What are we going to do about our basketball program??? Back to the Lunatic Fringe Clubhouse to develop another evil plan to destroy our basketball success. We don’t want basketball taking any attention away from spring football!!!

Do we want to win this thing or do the bare minimum to be retained for another year? When you listen to the players postgame, they want to win it. I’m not sure if the coach is there based on his history. Maybe I’m wrong and the new assistants have brought that energy.

There’s no way he gets an extension unless we win the ACC.
He gets another year because we make the tournament. If we make progress next year, he gets extended. If we regress, we move on. It’s pretty simple.
