Bresee

Sep 19, 2022, 12:18 PM

Being reported that Bryan Bresee is back on campus and will practice today. Bryan, 20 teammates and 10 coaches will fly up to attend the funeral which is Tuesday. They plan to be back in time for practice Tuesday night. They have moved the practice time back a bit to make sure they have time to get everyone back.

Have you ever lost a sibling? I have and trust me when I say my focus on anything was not there for quite some time. I can not imagine what it must feel like for Brian to try and practice or play this week. God bless Brian and his family and know Clemson Nation is with you all no matter!!

Disgusting thing to say.
That girls life is with more than “football focus”

...at practice today given the funeral is tomorrow. Now I know how they are doing it. Thanks for the update.

I can't begin to understand what Bryan is going through. To lose a sibling that was only 15 or 16 has got to as traumatic as heck. I know it happens to people everyday but I don't see how I could have even thought about football, baseball or anything other than losing my sibling. I know they knew this day was coming as brain cancer is as near a death sentence as possible. Prayers for the family, prayers for safe travel, and may GOD keep everyone safe, and give each of them the strength they will need to come through this knowing that Ella is in a better place, without pain, and waiting on the day she will be reunited with her family!

I honestly can’t imagine being back at practice this soon. I wouldn’t be able to get motivated. Maybe this is a way to help him cope. I would be a mess. I hope he doesn’t rush back. Take his time and mourn the loss in a healthy way.

From my experience the return to normalcy is desired and needed in a lot of cases. If not you are stuck to just dwell on the issue which only makes it more difficult to find a new way forward.

Many years ago I had a roommate who lost a brother to a terrible disease. He and I had plans the night of his brother's passing. I was shocked when he contacted me to say he wanted to keep our plans. I guess everyone copes in different ways. Maybe football for BB is a way to take his mind off of the grief. I don't know. I think I would be a basket case if I lost a sibling. God bless him as he must be a very strong young man.

He needs his friends and I'm sure his mom would have encouraged him to be here.

If I have learned one thing in my life it is that we are all different and we all grieve in our own way. What one person thinks is healthy may not work for someone else. Let him do what he thinks is best. We should just support him in whatever he decides.
