Do you not think that rival fans come here and LOL? I know I would. It's just so stupid. And I'm sure that they put us all in the same pot. And that bothers me. I always took pride in being a Clemson Man. It was a big deal back in the 70's. You were a cut above. You couldn't afford Furman or out-of-state schools like GaT or UNC. But by god you didn't have to fall back on USC.
So what has happened? Tigernet used to be cool and fun in the beginning, like in the 90's. Intelligent, knowledgeable posters who shared their football opinions and thoughts. And they were also witty and posted stuff that was hilarious. But you nimrods have run them all off. You took over this forum and ruined it. None of my buddies/grads post here any more and haven't for years.
Because it's too stupid.

Many in our fan base have become entitled. They feel we should never lose any contest in any sport. I attribute it to the success of football over most of the past decade. I have never poasted much here but I still enjoy being an “active lurker”- many of the poasts here are intelligent and thoughtful. Many of the poasts are idiotic and show complete ignorance. For the most part I enjoy reading both and find both entertaining.

I enjoy much of the humorous stuff (you know who you are). But the incessant, unrepentant, counterproductive trolling must be stopped (you know who you are as well).
In the '90s this place was a lot of fun. Meaningful friendships took root. Many of us tailgated together in old Area Lot 2. I don't see many of those handles anymore.
Things change, sure. You make your own decision if it's for the better or worse.

my junior and senior year. Traveled with them to away matches, set up practices, got their new shoe/gear orders and rackets strung. Stuff like that.
Kinda like being on the team without the pressure of playing or coaching.

It's the same thing that has happened to all of society. People are incapable of having a conversation that debates differing ideas or views. Cable TV I believe kind of started the spiral. All of a sudden different thoughts became offensive to others and were not tolerated. We raised an entire generation with that mindset and now they're teaching it to kids in the classrooms.

Agree 100%. It is hard to think of many of these post coming from Tiger fans. Every other time I make a post someone thinks it’s cute to call me a coot. They have no idea of the years of support most of these being called coots have given to Clemson. We are losing what was once special.

can post whatever they like. Yes, I know I can just ignore all the garbage, which I usually do. Maybe about once a year I crawl out from under my rock and complain about the state of the board. It's not like I obsess over it and constantly b*tch about it. But you know, I feel like there's only about a dozen unique posters on any given day. The rest are all trolls that just argue with their other handles or other trolls and try to instigate chit. What's the point of that? Is that not stupid? I guess it is tolerated by the mods because it drives clicks and responses, I don't know.
I'd guess there are probably hundreds of thousands of Clemson fans worldwide. So what makes this small handful of people feel like they can just rule the Football board with all of their nonsense? Politics and Religion and all of that tommyrot. And the personal spats, like a bunch of pre-teen girls. JFC man. I just think it makes us all look stupid, and I know I'm not alone. But most guys won't say anything and just say eff it, and stop posting here. And Tigernet is worse off for it.

I don't mind that trolls get personally offended when I attack them for polluting our boreds. I think there is a lack of pride around here in that sense so take it as a task to absolutely torture the trolls. Sometimes I miss, but it's not often; just axe Stanley and TigerQuef.
Sadly, we've got a few Lindsey Lohan level nut cases here like Stanley and Stub-nuts that just won't die. The sad fact is they are already dying inside which drives them to start nonsense with folks with an IQ above 48.

Eh it’s a sports fan board. They’re all basically ridiculous. There’s certain posters that I just skip their posts/responses. The articles are usually good and some threads are fun. Read what you want, skip the rest. I wouldn’t worry about what outsiders think cause anybody that comes here is probably just as screwed up as the regulars lol

It’s not all bad. Think of it like a class of high school students. All but one or two are well behaved. But those two can sour the mood. In TigerNet’s case, it’s two pretending to be 20.
