I have a tradition of betting big on CFB during Clemson bye weeks. It’s well known fact among the sharps that Clemson is terrible against the spread because Dabo is a true gentleman and doesn’t want to embarrass his opponents. That doesn’t stop me from betting on the Tigers every week though.
When it comes to betting on Clemson, I’m like the guy who is in love with the girl who doesn’t realize she’s in love with him yet. I’ll wash her car, help her buy a sweater for her boyfriend by trying it on at Belk’s, and even help her move back to her boyfriend’s apartment after she forgives him for cheating again. I just have to keep betting on the Tigers because I know my luck will turn someday just like she’ll wake up someday to realize I’m “the one.” Hypothetically of course.
I don’t mean to brag, but I have an excellent record while desperately trying to recuperate my losses during the bye week. Last year, I cleaned up on NC’s blowout of the fraud otherwise known as Pitt. I was so flush with cash that I had dinner at Applebees afterwards without having to use any coupons.
I’ve run the numbers this week and can safely say the Georgia (-31.5) will not cover at Vanderbilt. This is the time of the year when injuries and off season arrests start to take a toll on Georgia’s depth and I think the lack of crowd noise at Vanderbilt’s half finished stadium will confuse the Bulldogs. In general I agree with betting responsibly, but this is the week to put discretionary income earmarked for your kids’ tuition or car insurance to work. You can thank me later.

Ending a thought with “hypothetically of course” is like starting a sentence with “no offense, but…”.
Nobody can get mad at what you said because you have the “no offense” disclaimer. You can literally say whatever you want with total impunity. Likewise, because I said “hypothetically,” you can’t accuse me of using a painful real life situation to get my point across.

The Commodores haven't been any good since Lionel Richie left. Injuries will come into play but not in the way you think. UGA gets up by 3 TDs and Smart pulls the A-list to keep from getting hurt before going into the bye week. I suspect somewhere between 35-10 to 42-10.

On the Bye Week, I like to go big on just one game. Splitting the bets across two games sounds risky when I need to win a lot to get back to even.
