C FSU play calling

FSU: Tigers offensive play calls

So Kelly not zeroed in to complete long passes. Why so many run plays up the middle, and passes into the flat that the FSU D populated so well most of the game? With Kelly running or often short passing, FSU was able to key on him and load the line of scrimmage.

Why run your rising star speed running back (other than near end zone situations) into such middle line coverage, when, as he demonstrated more than once, having a step when running off tackle can result in a huge play?

Why repeated passes in the flat instead of midrange sidelines? C is deep in talented wide outs/receivers; why not rotate and use them every possible play in full speed downfield patterns and variants to move D backs away from the line? Slows D pursuit, opens shorter pass area, and effective play action pass plays.

Play calling will need to be a lot more creative and responsive to assure a win v. Miami.
