POSSIBLY be as much of a goofy gus as he seems to be in every interview he does? Without being there in the gators locker room or practice field, he just comes off as a guy that would inspire little respect or confidence in his players.

Not sure about that, but I consider him to be one of the best coaches in the SEC. He inherited Boom's messed up team, and won the SEC East within a couple of years. He did a pretty good job while at Colorado State too. And of course, he a good OC at Bama. So - YES - he's good IMO.

Quite an accomplishment indeed. Meanwhile a 5-3 ACC team beat his gators 31-13.

Florida STINKS. The entire SEC east STINKS.

Winning the SECe isn't saying much the last 2 years. He's also an OC type head coach that has had some very lackluster offenses. Booms defensive recruits won them a lot of games.

Actually I think he's won the east both years that he has been head coach...which, again, isn't saying much.

That is correct. Just think, Mizzou from the Big 12 came in and dominated the SEC Least right away. Now, the rest of the league has brought them down to their level.

McElwain is the big benefiter of a sucky SEC East. His offenses blow. He won't be there in two years.

(My cousin played there 1968-71). I am not sure how far he can take them, but he has been dealt some bad QB situations since he has been there. However he won the SEC East with a "playing to win" attitude with many of the same players Lumpy (Muschamp) played with a "not to lose" attitude. Players doing dumb stuff hurts teams that will no sweep it under the rug (like F$U).
