Failure is defined as a lack of success or the inability to meet an expectation.
I'm so glad every time I failed to meet someone's expectations, TNET posters did not decide my fate. I would be unemployed, divorced, childless, and who knows what else. Thank God, despite my many failures, I've have continued to grow and succeed.
I would love to see Clemson undefeated in every sport. I would love to see them win every Conference and National Championship.
According to some TNetters, Dabo should be fired because we've missed the Playoff, because "Best Is Standard."
According to those same ones, Jack Leggett should've been let go, so we could get better, because " Best Is Standard."
Be careful Neff with decisions you make.
Beware Men's and Women's golf.
Beware Lacrosse.
Beware Baseball and Softball.
Beware Men's and Women's Basketball.
Beware Football.
Beware Men's and Women's Soccer.
Beware Cross Country, Track and Field, Gymnastics, Rowing, and Tennis.
Beware Intramural teams.
Beware Debate Teams.
Beware anyone who is affiliated with Clemson.

Brownlee has failed at that. The standard is also keep a team motivated and focused so they don't lose games to SC, Louisville and Loyola Chicago which prevent the team from making the NCAA Tournament. He failed at that. The body of work for Brownelee's 14 years at Clemson is a C- at best. Time to move on and send him packing.

Just the fact that, at least since KJ left early, the hire him/fire him debate has been an annual spring Tnet bloodbath provides a path forward. I don’t hate Coach Brownell. I hope and believe he can succeed in the right spot. But results speak for themselves. The NCAA tournament is a reasonable expectation. This year, us being left out while nc state dances is unfathomable. But, now 14 years in, we have 2 dance cards. I think 50% dancing is a reasonable expectation for long-term coaches.

Some of the people on TNET, have been asking for Brownell to go since his 1st season.
I'm not happy with the lack of success, but we blame all the failures in basketball on Brownell. We have never been successful under any coach in basketball, unless making the tourney and losing in the 1st round is considered success.
