Chad Morris, Two Words, Oliver Purnell...

Nov 28, 2014, 11:34 AM

Deer Chad,

While I fully support your decision to one day leave this program for a head coaching job and a brighter, richer future, please don't settle for a job the likes of SMU.

Yes, on the surface the money sounds fantastic, but lest I remind you that Mr. Purnell also thought the money at Depaul sounded fantastic. Last time we heard from OPP, however, his DePaul team was still wallowing at the bottom of their non power 5 conference.

So, just as a PSA to the Chad, please think before you act.

This is all wrong.

Chad isn't leaving town with his tail between his legs after he got caught having an affair.

Chad Morris has made it clear he would like to go back to Texas.

SMU is in a geographic area that will allow him to recruit at a high level.

SMU has the history and resources to develop a competitive program.
