He will NEVER leave Houston and will retire in a year or two. His son has already been declared "Head Coach in Waiting" so it is probably imminent. Kelvin Sampson would be the perfect fit to jerk a knot in the Clemson program but it can never happen. It would be nice to find one just like him, though.

We aren't firing Brownell. He's been super successful this season and you members of the MUH DABO cult need to realize there are good coaches at Clemson besides Dabo.

The guy engages the crowd, the students - was passing out ice cream treats Saturday before the game on Sunday at noon - a HUGE game for USF. The 2nd HUGE home game in a row.
Gave them ice cream, took pictures, invited them to pack the Yuengling Center the next day.
Then - after back to back wins in those games, goes up into the stands with the students, takes pictures, cheers, does the chants and sings . . . .
Brings back alumni that helped build the program, honors them with pregame warmup shirts worn by the team, etc.
And they are 21-5 and in first place in the AAC in his first year.
Less resources, less facilities, they DO have an awesome pep band - but a vision & a DRIVE to build something - planned and prioritized and a part of WINNING. It has been incredible to see first-hand.
Amazing to see what a hungry and motivated coach can do with WAY LESS than what we have at Clemson.
