Ya'll are calling for his head every game. But it's absurd.

1 turnover.
Bensley Joseph is one heyl of a defender. The guy has 11 steals in last 3 games. He had 5 in a game earlier this year. His ONE job was to hound Chase the entire length of the court all night. Miami gave Clemson guards/wings a headache all night. They defended every pass. Since they're D1 athletes and make it look easy I'm not sure people realize how difficult it is to simply catch a swing pass with a guy all over you 30 ft from the basket.
Instead of calling out Chase, how about recognizing the lack of another true ball handler most of the time Chase is on the floor (outside of his brother). The guy is shouldering a heyl of a load for someone who's actually playing out of position.
You want to sit Chase for who?
● Do you really want to see what 35 mins of Beadle would look like?
● Dillon already plays 20 mins a game. Give him 40 and you all would complain that he only got 3 shots off for 4 pts (2 lay ups).
● Girard at point? The guy is amazing but this offense would become a shell of itself if he was the primary ball handler. Defenses would exploit it and his own offense would suffer greatly.
● Hemenway? 🤨
This one of those prime examples of when a fan base should be grateful while accepting a few faults because the grass ain't all that greener on the other side.
I'm excited to see Dillon start at point next year but not having Chase run things this year would be great loss, possibly a nightmare.

This just highlights the problems over the years in recruiting. We have a highly rated PG coming in next year. Maybe we can start recruiting and signing longer, quicker, players who can handle defensive pressure.

Del Jones may be good enough to potentially start but it wouldn't be as the primary ball handler. Dillon at point and most likely Heidbreder at 2 next year.

Therein lies the rub. He is playing out of position because Brownell essentially refuses to recruit true point guards. But we aren’t allowed any criticism of Brownell. Player criticism is less vigorously shouted down.

Btw. Chase hunter averaged more assists per game last year than any clemson pg since ed scott.

Two of the four players you named left the program - how does that speak to Brownell’s use and development of PGs. We do not have a true point guard capable of playing in crucial situations in our make or break year. You don’t win any points making prurient comments or personal attacks. You know full well that point guard has not been a point of emphasis under Brownell. And that I didn’t instantly reply means “crickets”? If you want people to take you seriously try to act serious.

I'm glad we gotta guy athletic enough to attempt a strong take to the rim to score or get fouled. You know how many years I've watched Clemson basketball wishing we had a guy like that but we didn't?
And NOBODY mentions his defense?
We are all watching the same game, I see his mistakes but the team OVERALL needs to clean up the turnovers.
I don't understand the expectation or see any solutions for the complaints.

down the floor, no doubt. However, not having depth or great alternatives right now at PG is going to bite us but good down the stretch. We might not need, or want, 35 minutes out of Beadle, but IMO his development into a serviceable alternative at his natural PG spot is going to be critical to how far this team can go this season. We're barely 1/3 of the way through and already guys are getting gassed out there fairly regularly. That's not a sustainable formula if we are to realize the potential this year's roster seems to offer over the remainder of ACC play.

Glad to have him on the team. Hes good and effective. And as I have said about Hall and Girard, I don't believe that any 3 of them are being used as effectively as they could be. Not even close.
BB is simply not a good enough offensive coach and his players have to overcompensate in higher tier games.
