Chi Fil is takes 6th Place SEC team vs 2nd place ACC
Dec 2, 2012, 4:07 PM

|
#1 BCS Champ game #2 Sugar Bowl #3 Capital One #4 Cotton Bowl #5 Outback Bowl #6 Chick Fil A Bowl #7 Gator #8 Music City #9 Independence
Those are the facts. South Carolina in 2010 dropped to Chick Fil A due to being 9-4. The only other loser of the SEC Champ gamet o drop to Chick Fila was Tennessee when Clemson played them and beat them. Like it or not it is a lower level bowl for the SEC, however, for people in the South it is a great bowl game due to good payout and placing SEC vs ACC. Facts are it is a good game even though the matchup shouldn't be even due to the way they finish in their conferences.

Always a great bowl game in my opinion no matter who is in it. It seems to be one of the better ones year in year out!

against Miss state in 1999's Chic Fil A and the game against Auburn in either 96 or 97, each had played and lost in the SEC title game.

Do have a pecking order but have always seemed to work together to determine bids.

The standings are fact, how many SEC champ game losers drop that low is questionable. the facts are it really depends on divisions. The year South cArolina dropped they were in a bad east with good teams in the west higher ranked. That could be just as Miss St and Auburn were probably in a bad west in the late 90s. this year it seems the SEC is even on each side with some saying the east is even better than the west this year

its hard to say they are top heavy when 6 of the 10 best teams in the nation are from the sec. Plus, vandy is good, and Miss St and Ole Miss are fairly good

Just saying. This year the bottom tier SEC teams were atrocious compared to other years, which is why they have so many 2 loss teams.

we beat Tennessee we had at least 3 losses if not 4. I think we finished 9-4 after beating a 9th ranked Tennessee team.
We had more losses going into the CFA game than our SEC opponent in the 96, 97, 99,and 03.

I say that pretty easily look at it closely
SEC West - Bama LSU Texas A&M then who
SEC East - Georgia Florida USC Vandy
I would say the east gets it this year if you really get into who beat who
Overall I wouldn't say those teams were good becasue of the bottom dwellers, I would just say those teams are pretty good. Look how they faired a week ago??

That doesn't say much for the pecking order. A 2nd place ACC team with more losses than a 6th bowl pick SEC team
