Weird that Kelly didn't go for a negotiated settlement to leave if he knew he wanted out.

I'm assuming if he quits he gets nothing so the smart play was to offer to resign in exchange for a reasonable part of his buyout.

Jonathan Smith would have been a perfect hire but they missed out.

Gonna be rough for them in the B1G but at least the revenue will flow in and keep their other sports fully funded.
