I don't think so...I went to school with several former Easley/Clemson players and this guy has something special...I feel like my eye for talent is pretty good and I am excited to watch this young man.

He has the perfect name for a Clemson offensive star. Now, we should sign someone named Steve Spiller.

Remember these names for the future. Dupree Hart, Northwestern High School, Rock Hill, SC, Sophmore and Johnathan Adams, Rock Hill High School, Rock Hill, SC, Junior. Dupree will probably be the next Warrick Dunn and I sure hope we look at him before Fla. St. does! Johnathan Adams just refuses to go down after being hit and can play a James Davis type role with us. Imagine both at Clemson in the next few years!! Could be Thunder and Lightning all over again!!!
Go Tigers!! Beat Wake!!

RB's. I think...i think ML was the #1 RB in the nation coming out of his recruiting class. And I think..i think he had some pretty stiffling stats during his tenure at Byrnes.
Question for you... would you take ML in orange and white? I think you would.
This kid is good and would be a good one to get but he's no better than Tyshon Dye who we have committed this year. Just because he tears it up in a video against Wren doesn't mean he's the g.o.a.t.

ML was good for 1 season. I would take Ellington over ML any day.

What makes him special? How fast? Is he that powerful? How's his balance? Vision? It's a tall order to say he's better than Stephen Davis.

Hipp probably the most talented back I ever saw, but Freddie Solomon best football player I ever saw in SC. Had Ronald Williams not gotten injured he would have been more productive at the next level than Davis.

My top 3

Steve Davis Squeaky Watson Marcus Lattimore
Davis - the most complete back I've ever watched play. He had the speed, power and the vision. He was a man amongst boys.
Squeaky - Laugh all you want but the kid could flat out play. Had he had it together between the ears I believe he could've been a special player.
Lattimore - Hard to get a solid lick on him. He has power and speed when he needs it. He is very elusive and has very good hands out of the backfield. I hate to say it but he reminds me of Ronald Williams in that I think this knee injury may unfortunately change what could've been a great career.

That's because you are comparing him to Davis' total career.

Won Super Bowls and went to a few Pro Bowls I believe. Unfortunately another SCar RB but he played with my dad at Berkeley High school. My dad played college football as well and coached for almost 30 years in high school in this state. Said he never saw anyone better. He also coached Ellington in high school and puts him near the top that he has seen, but also behind Stephen Davis.

I M Hipp

I guess many on here are a little young to remember Hipp from Chapin High School. He wasn't recruited to South Carolina or Clemson for reasons that pertained to the times or so I was told. So he went to Nebraska and was runner up in for the Heisman. He stills stands out to me as the back with all the tools, size, speed, and power. Played a few years in the NFL and also Canada!

In 2007 he rushed for 1,219 yards and 19 touchdowns and also caught two touchdown passes. Also averaged 40 yards per kickoff return.
