After DJ Uiagelei and Beaux Collins, it's hard to see the staff recruiting kids from Cali anytime soon, it seems like Clemson struggles recruiting out west and lack of attracting/appealing to them compared to Bama, UGA, Ohio St

DJ and Beaux were a package deal basically from Southern Califronia (St. John Bosco HS) near Los Angeles

The coaches are evaluated based on recruiting numbers. If a 5* from anywhere shows interest, they chase them.
Culturally, you are totally correct. Bring in a kid from the N or Midwest and our weather looks awesome. To a SoCal, nothing will ever compare favorably to their homeland, which is way But I’m sure he and daddy said all of the right things.
I’ve lived in different regions and the one thing that is 100% across the board? Everybody hates Californians, everybody. Nobody even wants their refugees because a conservative CA is a liberal SC.
Many of my friends are refugees, but it has been diluted to tolerable levels over time.
Hopefully CU learned from this mess - sometimes we are better off missing a recruit - remember that Tnet.
