I saw a system like this at a bar in GA a couple of years ago. It rejected several people’s IDs that I know were valid. Maybe the technology has gotten better….

Athens PD says “hold my beer” (literally)..

They’ve completed eliminated underage drinking …

Slightly different tactic - they don’t check ID’s at all… Kirby is lobbying for a similar policy on monitoring vehicle speed..

I had to borrow my roommate’s ID for my whole first semester in 1980 and the drinking age was only 18!
