Need to have a salary cap on players like the NFL. Then more teams would have a chance to win it all

Coaches are not hired to win National Championships, they are hired to represent their university 365/366 days a year, ensure rules are followed, demand and expect academic excellence, recruit, coach and to lead their teams to as many wins as possible in whatever their sport is. If winning a National Championship was the end all, be all, there would only be a teams participating in each sport.

Yeah. We more than any fanbase should realize how HARD it is to win a national championship, much less more than one. Let’s be thankful we have a coach that has won us one and that we aren’t fans of teams like Miami, the coots, or Vandy.

When Dabo was hired, ACC championships might have been expected but that would have been a stretch goal at the time since we had not won the conference championship since 1991. Anyone who says national championships were expected when he was hired is not being realistic. But he did it (more than once) and now some folks expect him to win national championships every year and anything less is underachieving. Which is also unrealistic. Or fodder for sniping and trolling.
