COVID Recruiting Class

Wild to see how many of these guys have transferred or retired from football. I count 13 out of the 29 that have left in those manners. How many are still on the roster from this class going towards our 85? I'm thinking around 8.

Actually the 2021 class is the covid class… the 2020 class signed in February of 20, a month before covid broke out.

Yeah I’m saying their freshman year was in the midst of COVID and last remaining players that have a COVID year. 2021 class doesn’t have that

I was thinking about this, in a related way, a few days ago. Dabo and the staff always seem to do really well with recruits if they can get them on campus to truly show what the program is all about. The camps also give the kids the chance to bond and see their potential team mates, as well as an opportunity for the staff to judge the character of the players.
For those reasons, I feel like the covid year may have had an outsized effect on Tiger recruiting.

You guys are correct, but I was thinking about the most senior class that can take advantage of the COVID year for eligibility purposes. Did some quick research:

Andrew Booth - NFL
Frank Ladson - Miami
Tyler Davis - Clemson
Sheridan Jones - Clemson
William Putnam - Clemson
Bryton Constantin - Medical Retirement (Knee)
Chez Mellusi - Wisconsin
Joe Ngata - NFL
Taisun Phommachanh - UMass
Joseph Charleston - Missouri
Kane Patterson - Vanderbilt
Lavonta Bentley - Colorado
Tayquon Johnson - Laurens, SC Police Department
Jaelyn Lay - Alabama State
Jalyn Phillips - Clemson
Hunter Rayburn - Medical Retirement (Neck) 2/17/2022
Brannon Spector - Clemson
Etinosa Reuben - Georgia Tech
Logan Cash - Medical Retirement (Back) 2019
Lannden Zanders - Medical Retirement (Shoulder) August 2022
Ray Thornton - South Florida
Davis Allen - NFL
Greg Williams - Clemson
Ruke Orhorhoro - Clemson
Michel Dukes - South Florida
Keith Maguire - Clemson
Kaleb Boateng - Florida - May he rest in peace
Aidan Swanson - Clemson
Mason Trotter - Medical Retirement (Back) 2022

Amazing how many retired before significant playing time.
