Covid year for BB players

I heard last night that Chase Hunter has an extra year of eligibility for the Covid year. Also, I would guess that Alex Hemenway has one too (from injury and/or Covid). Considering that the team could be losing about 75% of their scoring next year, would you want to see either of these guys come back to play another season or just move on? I’m thinking that we need to have someone who can score, but neither of those two can guard their own shadows. A tough decision either way…

I don't think Chase has a year left. This is his 5th...this year is his covid year.

PJ Hall has a year left, but I don't think anyone expects him to return.

he only played in 9 games his freshman year which puts him at 29%. I believe that makes it a redshirt year and would mean he does have a season left.

If Hemenway takes a redshirt this year (which apparently is the plan), he would be eligible to return next year.

Chase and Alex both came in at the same time and have played 5 years. Alex will probably get this season back... Chase is done from my understanding.

I just read Chase recently became a new father. I wonder how that might impact his thinking about playing pro ball overseas this fall vs. staying another year at Clemson to play with his brother again.

While I'd love to have both back, one reasonable question to ask is who do we lose if they both stay?

There are some younger players who have been accepting their minutes expecting they will expand next year.

If Chase comes back, do we lose those younger players?

We've had a bunch of players we'd like to keep transfer out...
