Dabo and our Fans

I think with alot of fans or the so-called 1.5%, they think about the Dabo sayings of "Best is the Standard" and "The best is yet to come" and then see that not being the case or taking steps backwards and it becomes very frustrating. Fans are obviously going to say and speak more emotionally than coaches ever will, that's just the nature of it. Sometimes we see things in games and get aggravated when coaches don't do something about it or say what we all know is obvious, it just is what it is. Once you reach the mountain top and the pinnacle.....anything less just feels bad. Price of being a champion, its not a video game, we can't do it every single year.

CDS and staff have performed exceptionally for the most part.... Clemson has been and continues to be in the greatest period of sustained success in the history of Clemson football.... These have been and are now some of the most turbulent times in college football history (Covid, TP, NIL, conf realignments, etc.).... I look forward to the future, and can't think of anyone I'd rather have leading the program at this point in time....

I look at it both ways, because at the same time, its not like we went from the mountain top to 5-7 wins on the regular like Texas, USC, Auburn, Miami..and even FSU for awhile. It can obviously be a lot worse!

Remember when the CLEMSON TIGERS were NEVER mentioned on tv or the radio. I can remember when many fans had NO idea where Clemson was located. Many thought the state of Georgia. Even less cared!

Now our team AND university are discussed via the various networks in every state every day.


FOOTBALL is the main reason.

A great portion of this recognition is because of Coach Swinney. Like it or not.
