And someone needs to let Dabo know we need to go ahead and forfeit. We have no chance. Portal U is the biggest, strongest, fastest, most talented, physical football team in the history of College Football. Norvell is gods gift to the cosmos, and Dabo should just go ahead and retire. All of our 4’1 defenders can’t line up and play with their 7’4 WR’s, and Travis makes Mahomes look like Jamarcus Russell.

Some make take your post as satire. Not me. Have you gotten this info to Davi and do you think he understands the process for avoiding the game? I know it sounds crazy but he could come with something wild like “ my team is worried about catching Covid 37 and for the good everything we hold dear we must unfortunately decline to let you come.”

Dabo is a true iconoclast in the world of college football.

He was ridiculed regularly by pro (and amateur) pundits and laughed out of the room until he kicked unholy ### and ran off the 5th best decade in CFB history, and far and away Clemson's best.
Now that the sands are shifting around the game, there remains a lot of "Ha, I told you so's" out there in the pundit profession still eager to flash in the pan him for not being the right kind of guy in the role to begin with, and unable to keep up with the times.
Problem is, Dabo is that kind of guy that largely stays true to his roots. Shifting sands are just that. If you build your foundation on a rock, and stick to it through thick or thin, at the end of the day you're far more likely to be one of those still above the fray when the storms settle.
It's also sports. Some days are better than others. It's the nature of it. Overcoming adversity is one of life's great treasures. If you're not in the arena though, you don't get that opportunity. Dabo laid his vision out Day One about his commitment to kids coming to college at Clemson and leaving as the best versions of themselves they can muster when they leave, and shooting for championships every step of the way along that journey.
It's a great day to be a Tiger.
