Dabo would need 217 wins to tie Bobby B

Currently Dabo is averaging exactly 10 wins per season (22 more years).

He's had an unbelievable 13.8 wins in his last 5 (non covid shortened) seasons. That would be 16 seasons.

Didn't realize Bobby B was a head coach going all the way back to 1959. Knew about WV. He had around 73 wins combined at Howard and WV.

While it is doubtful that Dabo will surpass Bowden's total wins ( he is credited with 357) he needs only one National Championship to surpass him in that category.

That Dabo really loves what he does. He seems like the happiest man in the world leading young men. Not to mention he’s pretty good at it.

That may change as he becomes and empty nester. When all his boys graduate and move on to there lives ( unless it’s in coaching) he may point his attention somewhere else.

so that's certainly making it easier for somebody to catch the record. Bowden generally got 12 games per season - elite coaches now are getting 14-15.

Now a days you are practically guaranteed 13 games.

Back then you had 11 ...and it was hard to get a 12th.

2 Natties, I say he is already there.

I think Bowden also played in 5 games that determined the National Champion, winning 2. We are closing in on that one too.
