Dabo’s master plan for DJ’s transfer executed to perfection

By replacing him the last game, it made it possible for DJ to leave under the premise that Clemson moved on from him before he transferred. Dabo protecting him to the bitter end.

... he and DJ had this all worked out. I'm going to pull you in the last game, that way you can leave if you want, and pursue your dreams.

I was in a similar situation when the company I worked for closed our department. As the VP, they allowed me to quit before they announced it, so I would neve have to have "fired" in my history. It worked out for everyone.
