He is genuine.

One time after a game, we were one of the few cars left tailgating. He was parked on the next aisle over from us. His car battery was dead. We were able to jump off his battery. He was very thankful and talked to us for few minutes before he had to leave.

Interesting. I saw he worked at WESC but didn't know about country music DJ. Learn something new everyday.

May be wrong but I think he was with WYFF when I moved from G'ville in the mid 80s. Thought he was very good at his profession.

I read some where that he worked as a part time meteorologist when WYFF was WFBC back in the 70s.

Nope your thinking about Charlie Gertz in the mid 80's.

Dale retired a year or so ago from WYFF after 25 years which would put him there mid 90's. He was morning weather guy and now just fills in from time to time.
